CHICAGO – The Building Service Contractors Association International has announced the installation of its newly elected officers and directors for 2019.

This year’s president is Michael Diamond, CBSE, managing partner of AffinEco LLC. He grew up in the janitorial business working with his father Alan Diamond. From summers in the field on specialty crews to starting his management career after graduating from Ithaca College in 1985, Michael learned all facets of the business.

In 2000, he took over full management of the family business, and started United Services with a partner, Paul Senecal. In 2012, all companies merged together into AffinEco, LLC, whose footprint covers New Jersey to Boston with headquarters in Connecticut.

BSCAI’s 2019 President-Elect is Todd Hopkins, CBSE, CEO and founder of Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services. Hopkins earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in management from the University of Memphis and his MBA from Butler University.

He is also a graduate of MIT’s Birthing of Giants Executive Entrepreneurship Academy, a prestigious program for top entrepreneurs. Hopkins is the author (and co-author) of four best-selling books, “The Carrot Chaser,” “The Janitor,” “Five Wisdoms for Entrepreneur Survival” and “The Stress Less Business Owner.”

Serving as BSCAI’s 2019 Vice President is Eric Luke, CBSE, CPA, president, Varsity Facility Services, a KBS Company. After working as a senior accountant and small business consultant for Arthur Andersen in San Francisco, California, Eric joined Varsity Facility Services in Denver as a district manager in 1989.

Serving as 2019 Treasurer is Nathalie Doobin, CBSE, MBA, owner and CEO of several companies, including Harvard Services Group, a national building service contractor. Before joining the industry, she spent her global career in management with companies such as Pfizer and Merck. Doobin was featured in Forbes Magazine’s Most Powerful Women issue and in the book “Inspirational Heroes,” which showcases stories from 23 women who have brought cleaning out of the shadows.

She was also recognized as an “Enterprising Woman of the Year” by Enterprising Women magazine and as a WBE STAR. She holds a bachelor’s degree from HEC, an MBA from University of Quebec and is a licensed private detective.
