ORLANDO, FL -- Orlando World Center Marriott has announced the opening of its new, dynamic event space, Magnolia, creating additional flexibility and more options for a variety of meetings, conventions and events.

“We are excited to add the Magnolia meeting rooms to our meeting space footprint, bringing us to over 500,000 square feet of flexible event space,” said Robert Bray, Orlando World Center Marriott General Manager. “This addition launches during a time when demand for meetings and conventions has returned. We listened to the needs of meeting planners to design this new space with one goal in mind: more flexibility.”

Magnolia features eight 3,600 square-foot meeting rooms that can be broken down to create twenty-four 1,200 square-foot rooms. Additional features include:

  • Large, floor-to-ceiling windows in six of the rooms
  • 15-foot-high ceilings
  • Modern and clean designs to seamlessly transform to fit any brand
  • Expansive foyer space with natural light
  • Additional outdoor lawn space
  • Additional outdoor patio space

With the new Magnolia space, Orlando World Center Marriott offers up to 104 meeting rooms of various sizes, including five ballrooms with dedicated loading docks, registration desks and expansive foyer spaces. These ballrooms range from 8,000 square feet to the spacious 105,000 square-foot pillar-free carpeted Cypress Ballroom. There are also seven boardrooms on property and various unique options for outdoor events.

Event planners can also expect best-in-class meeting technology, on-site tech staff and Red Coat Direct, a Meeting Services App for convenient hotel staff support during events, including a dedicated Red Coat associate. The tenured culinary and event teams will partner with the meeting planners to customize the event and create a world class experience, including special dining offerings such as incorporating fresh produce grown on-property in the HyCube hydroponic system.

The Magnolia addition comes just after the opening of the River Falls Water Park in March. River Falls offers three brand-new thrilling inner tube water slides that connect riders to a 575-foot lazy river. As guests keep on floating, they can easily enter and exit through the zero-entry pool, where little swimmers can enjoy an aqua playground complete with eight bubbling nozzles and two sprayers.

Surrounding the winding river and pool is a patio with lounge chairs, cabanas and a refreshment station. Additionally, River Falls joins the entirely re-designed Falls Pool Oasis, which re-opened in fall 2021. Falls Pool is a 400,000 gallon zero-entry lagoon-style heated pool featuring waterfalls, sun shelves, cabanas and daybeds around the pool’s perimeter, two 200-foot winding waterslides, a 90-foot speed waterslide, four jumbo TVs and a kid’s splash zone.

Additionally, the entire resort has undergone renovations over the past three years. All 2,010 rooms and suites, which feature private balconies, have been renovated with new color palettes, hard surface flooring and new furniture. Seventy-five percent of the rooms now have walk-in showers.
