ATLANTA -- The world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, CBRE, has honored GP PRO’s KOLO Smart Monitoring System with a 2020 Best Healthy Workplace Solution award.
The award, just one of four out of more than 80 entrees in CBRE’s 2020 Supplier Partner Innovation Challenge, recognizes an innovative technology, solution, or product critical to reopening the world’s workplaces by helping to create healthier environments for building occupants.
“Earning this CBRE award is a testament to GP PRO’s commitment to innovation, hygiene, and driving operational efficiency,” said Michael Slawson, VP and GM of connected solutions with GP PRO. “I’m incredibly proud both of the work our team has accomplished in developing a solution that’s helping to create safer, healthier workplaces, and of the recognition from CBRE that the KOLO System is vital to businesses re-opening their doors and welcoming employees back.”
The system is advancing facility management in the age of COVID-19 by leveraging the Internet of Things to help improve the health and safety of building occupants. More specifically, through connected GP PRO paper towel, tissue, soap, and sanitizer dispensers, the KOLO System notifies custodians of dispenser issues and product levels to help avoid outages. And through its task management capability, the KOLO System sends alerts to custodians prompting them to complete specific enhanced cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
Part of what sets the KOLO System apart is its open platform, which allows connection to a suite of ecosystem partners, including TOTO toilets, sinks and urinals; the Tooshlights restroom traffic management system; and Avius patron feedback monitors. Data and alerts can also be integrated into other facility management and building automation systems both in and outside of the restroom.
“The KOLO System is disrupting facility management in significant and positive ways,” added Slawson, “providing the most complete connected restroom solution available today and paving the way for a connected facility that helps enhance hygiene and operational efficiency in ways not seen in the market until now.”
