ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance has announced that Pentair is joining forces with National Water Safety Month (NWSM) to raise awareness about water safety and highlights the importance of public education regarding safe practices around water.

NWSM is an annual month-long event that occurs in May and is supported by thousands of aquatics facilities and professionals through educational programs, public service announcements, governmental proclamations, dealer and aquatics business promotions and the distribution of water safety themed materials, designed to help prevent water-related fatalities, illnesses and injuries.

"Pentair is happy to be the program sponsor of National Water Safety Month again this year," said De’Mon Wiggins, vice president and leader of the Pool business unit at Pentair. "At Pentair, we are dedicated to elevating the pool experience to the next level so people can soak in the magical, wonder-filled moments by the pool, but we recognize those moments aren't possible without the proper water safety measures in place. As an organization, we are committed to driving water safety awareness during National Water Safety Month and always."

“We are extremely appreciative of Pentair’s commitment to the safe enjoyment of swimming,” said PHTA President and CEO Sabeena Hickman, CAE. “Their support in National Water Safety Month allows PHTA to broaden our reach and amplify our message about the importance of learning to swim and providing undistracted parental supervision while children are in or near the water.”
