CLEVELAND -- The Garland Company has announced that its Design-Build Solutions subsidiary (DBS) has earned a publicly procured, contract award from The Cooperative Council of Governments (CCOG), an Equalis Group Lead Agency.

The contract is available to any Equalis members in the state of Ohio.

Along with the comprehensive line of building envelope products and systems available from Garland/DBS, the Equalis contract includes inspections, design and engineering services, and leak management.

Garland’s full-service manufacturing model gives its territory managers accountability and ownership through an entire roofing project, partnering with a strong network of trusted contractors for quality installation, and issuing a comprehensive warranty at project completion covering all labor and materials.

“We are excited to join forces with Equalis Group to support their mission providing time savings, budget efficiencies, and legal compliance to their members in our home state of Ohio,” said Alexis Turner, director of contracts for Garland. “The advantages leveraging the offerings from Garland/DBS as opposed to a traditional solicitation are significant and measurable, and we are able to provide a site-specific pricing process to ensure an Equalis member gets the most competitive labor pricing on every job.”

Equalis Group delivers compliant, publicly procured cooperative agreements that public sector entities, including federal and state agencies, local governments, and educational institutions across the country can utilize to: i) quickly acquire the products and services they need; ii) receive better pricing through the collective buying power of Equalis Group Members; and, iii) save time through Equalis Group’s legal and compliant alternative to conducting their own resource-consuming solicitation process.

This contract was procured and awarded in accordance with the requirements of 2-C.F.R. Part 200, commonly referred to as “Uniform Guidance,” which allows public sector entities receiving federal grant and award dollars to spend those dollars through Equalis Group’s already-procured contracts without having to conduct their own bid or request for proposals (RFP).

“A building’s roofing and exterior, beyond keeping the interior watertight and extending the life of the building, can improve energy consumption and help with indoor air quality,” said David Akers, EVP, Equalis Group. “With all this in mind, Equalis Group is happy to connect our Ohio members with Garland, who can deliver these benefits with quality products and service.”
