SAN ANTONIO -- Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) has announces that Kate Deady, a Property Manager in San Antonio, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International.

This committee is responsible for developing the strategic direction and policies for the association, while ensuring resources are available to achieve its goals.

Deady joined Transwestern’s Asset Services team in 2018 and oversees a portfolio spanning 376,000 square feet of office and medical office properties throughout the San Antonio market. Since joining the firm, she has had tremendous positive impact on Transwestern, the tenants and clients within the buildings she manages, and the industry at large.

“From the day she joined Transwestern, Kate has made it a priority to get involved and contribute,” said Leah Gallagher, City Leader. “She is the quintessential team player, one who leads by example, motivates others, tackles problems head-on, and is always thinking about ways to deliver more value to her internal and external clients.”

Soon after joining BOMA/San Antonio four years ago, Deady became co-chair of the BOMA local association’s Emerging Professional Committee. In 2021, she secured a one-year term on BOMA International’s Emerging Professionals Committee, and now will serve on BOMA International’s Executive Committee for a two-year term.

At the same time, Deady leads the local chapter of Transwestern Young Professionals, a companywide initiative focused on attracting, retaining and developing young team members through networking, idea exchange, skills advancement and community service. In 2022, Transwestern presented her with a national leadership award for her work in this area.

“The opportunities afforded me through BOMA and Transwestern have helped me better understand the industry and grow as a professional,” Deady said. “It is a privilege to be a voice for young professionals – and all those working across the commercial real estate industry – to enhance the experience and value of commercial properties for individuals and organizations.”
