SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Scoop Soldiers, a pet-waste removal franchise that takes on the dirty work of pet ownership, is expanding in San Antonio.

The 40-plus unit and counting franchise opened in San Antonio on August 1. The opening comes as Scoop Soldiers continues to grow around the United States as the global market for pet-related services is expected to reach $350 billion by 2027.

With the opening of Scoop Soldiers, pet parents in San Antonio will continue to get a much-needed break from the dirty work of cleaning up after their pets. Pet waste removal services are available at residential and pet-friendly commercial clients such as apartment complexes, pet care centers, hotels and more.

Clients can opt for service packages that range from three visits per week to a one-time cleanup for a special event.

The new business is owned and operated by Andrew Entwistle and Heather Harrington, who are excited to introduce Scoop Soldiers to the local community. Entwistle and his sister Harrington had always known that they wanted to work together and be their own bosses. After serving in the Army for seven years and entering civilian life, Entwistle worked in various industries. And what he thought would be a job with Scoop Soldiers that would just help him pay bills while in between careers turned into business ownership.

"We're excited to officially open for business in San Antonio," said EJ McCoy, Co-Founder of Scoop Soldiers. "We can't wait for Entwistle and Harrington to introduce Scoop Soldiers to the local community, and their pets. With the demand for pet-related services at an all-time high, the time has never been better to join the Scoop Soldiers system. We're looking forward to continuing to support them as they grow their business."

Entwistle and Harrington will help Scoop Soldiers continue its growth throughout the U.S., as the brand looks to attract new franchisees in target markets such as Seattle, Washington D.C., North Carolina and Salt Lake City, Utah.

"The demand for services in pet waste removal has significantly increased — people want their time back," said McCoy. "People are putting a value on time like I've never seen before, and the Scoop Soldiers team is ready to reach even more customers so they can spend time with their family and friends."

Scoop Soldiers was established in 2010 to give pet parents a break from the dirty work of cleaning up after their pets. Pet waste removal services are available at residential and pet-friendly commercial clients such as apartment complexes, pet care centers, hotels and more.
