LOUISVILLE, KY -- DENIOS US has received FM approval for its Rack Fire Protect (RFP) non-occupancy, chemical storage buildings.

Fire rated for 2-hours at 21,92°F (1000°C), they minimize the risk of fire spreading, making them ideal for the storage of flammable chemicals, lithium-ion batteries, and other volatile materials.

Designed in Germany and proven in hundreds of installations worldwide, they are now manufactured in the United States for North American installations. A variety of standard sizes are manufactured in the Louisville factory with industry leading lead times.

Storing flammable liquids requires strict safety measures to prevent serious environmental and fire damage. Flammable liquids can give off enough vapor to form volatile mixtures with air. Explosion protection measures must, therefore, also be considered.

DENIOS’ chemical storage buildings are designed to minimize the risk in your workplace; the RFP (Rack Fire Protect) is now available in various small, medium, and large fire-rated storages for drums and IBC. Single or double-tiered designs will keep dangerous chemicals well organized and correctly separated.

The FM Approved mark is recognized and respected worldwide. It is assigned by FM Approvals, an international leader in third party testing and certification processes for property loss prevention products in commercial and industrial facilities. It verifies that they meet rigorous loss prevention standards of quality, technical integrity, and performance.

It employs a five step worldwide certification process that is backed by scientific research, testing, and over a century of experience. FM Approved is the global standard for loss prevention certification.
DENIOS chemical storage RFP buildings offer secure and legally compliant storage solutions for flammable, corrosive chemicals, and lithium-ion batteries.

The adjustable racking system can accommodate up to forty-eight drums or twelve IBC’s. Whether in single or double-tiered configurations, these designs effectively organize hazardous materials, ensuring proper segregation.

Complying with various standards such as FM Approval 6049, NFPA, OSHA, EPA-CFR 40, NBCC, NFCC and ETA/21/0642, RFP buildings guarantee adherence to safety regulations.

Featuring a bi-directional fire rating, they provide a robust 2-hour fire protection system that maintains minimal temperature escalation on the external surfaces during an internal fire event. RFP structures are ideal for storing securely sealed containers containing flammable, volatile, and environmentally hazardous substances.

Manufactured using state-of-the-art technology, including new laser cutting and metal bending machinery, RFP buildings use only tested and approved components. It uses a fully galvannealed panelized construction, insulated with fireproof, 150 mm mineral wool panels (A class material, non-combustible).

High-quality, Durathane 2-part epoxy paint ensures long-lasting corrosion protection inside and out and offers improved reflectivity and UV resistant. External surfaces are better protected from the influence of thermal expansion.

DENIOS engineers can aid in selecting HVAC technology to regulate the climate inside the RFP. Stored materials are then protected from harmful temperature fluctuations for increased shelf life. Technical ventilation ensures the required air changes per hour.

HMI monitoring controls provide visual and audio annunciation in the case of a deviation in measured data, clearly presented on the easy-to-use touch panels which are suitable for indoor or outdoor (NEMA 3R) operation.

Multi-sensor fire detectors quickly and reliably detect smoke and fire for the fastest response. DENIOS offers wet or dry fire suppression systems that provide added safety in the RFP.
