MINNEAPOLIS -- Tennant Company, a developer of cleaning equipment and solutions, has launched the X6 ROVR, its new mid-sized autonomous floor scrubber engineered to clean up to 75,000 square feet per cycle.

Expanding on the proven performance of the compact X4 ROVR, the X6 ROVR is designed to meet the scale and complexity of larger commercial and light-industrial environments.

The X6 ROVR includes an optional new Tennant XC1 docking station, allowing the machine to recharge between cleaning cycles, helping to reduce downtime and limit manual intervention.

“As organizations continue to face staffing shortages, automating routine cleaning tasks provides a clear and proven path to operational efficiencies,” said Dave Huml, President and CEO of Tennant Company. “We built the X6 ROVR to tackle this challenge — delivering dependable, autonomous performance across large-scale and complex environments, so cleaning teams can stay focused on higher-impact work.”

Powered by Brain Corp’s AI-driven autonomy platform, BrainOS, the X6 ROVR delivers reliable, high-performance, and trustworthy autonomous operation for navigating real-world environments at proven scale. With an optional autonomous docking station, the X6 ROVR can recharge itself between cleaning cycles, helping increase productivity and reduce manual intervention.

Other key features include:
•           Extended cleaning range with high-capacity tanks and Lithium-ion power: The X6 ROVR uses a 26-inch dual-disc scrub path and 25-gallon solution and recovery tanks to clean up to 75,000 square feet on a single tank. Lithium-ion batteries support up to six hours of continuous runtime.

•           Mid-sized design and next-level maneuverability: The X6 ROVR’s thoughtfully designed footprint and advanced 3D LiDAR allow it to operate efficiently in both open spaces and congested areas. Real-time obstacle detection and adaptive routing help ensure safe, consistent performance in dynamic environments.

•           Autonomous operation with real-time routing and performance tracking: BrainOS® delivers proven autonomous operation with real-time rerouting capabilities for more intelligent navigation, remote deployment, and enterprise-level fleet management tools for performance tracking. Built-in reporting tools provide data-driven insights and help facility leaders monitor progress and drive improvements.

“Our customers in small retail, education, and healthcare sectors have seen measurable results with the ROVR platform. Now we are bringing that technology to small industrial and large commercial facilities with the X6 ROVR,” said Seth Rourke, Vice President of Global Product Management at Tennant Company. “The product truly stands out for its unique ability to deliver high-capacity, high-performance cleaning while remaining incredibly nimble, maneuverable, and compact.”

Founded in 1870, Tennant Company had sales of $1.29 billion in 2024 and has approximately 4,500 employees.
