CHICAGO -- JLL has named Nina Farrell, CCIM, Executive Director within the Government and Education division of JLL Work Dynamics, reflecting its approach to the evolving public real estate sector.

She will lead the national advisory practice within the division, working with a team of experts dedicated to serving public sector and non-profit organizations, including federal, state and local governments, transit
agencies, higher education institutions and K-12 schools.

Farrell brings a unique insider's perspective to this role, having previously served as a real estate advisor for The University of Texas System, one of the country's largest public university systems. This experience has given her an intimate understanding of the challenges and values that drive public institutions, particularly in higher education.

JLL’s Government and Education division partners with all levels of government, educational institutions and mission-focused non-profits to develop tailored strategies that optimize and transform their real estate assets.

The advisory practice offers a range of services including portfolio analysis, strategic planning, development advisory, asset monetization strategies, space planning and innovative public-private partnerships (P3s).

“Nina’s promotion reflects her exceptional ability to navigate the dynamic and complex landscape of public sector real estate,” said Matt Do, Managing Director of Government and Education. “Her firsthand experience in public and private roles gives her invaluable insights and creativity as a strategic partner for our clients. Nina’s perspective and expertise will be crucial as government and education organizations face accelerating change and need advisors that can plan, implement and manage bold initiatives to drive their missions.”

With over a decade of experience in higher education and public sector commercial real estate, Farrell brings a wealth of knowledge to this strategic position. She will leverage her deep financial, development and operational expertise to build and manage key client relationships and deliver meaningful solutions to meet their evolving needs.

“This is an incredible opportunity to drive meaningful positive change in public sector real estate,” Farrell said. “As a mother to a young child, I’m acutely aware of the impact our work can have on shaping a better future. This amazing team is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, turning ambitious visions into realities that enhance communities and empower institutions.

“This isn’t just about buildings and land; it's about crafting a legacy of positive impact for our children and future generations. I’m inspired to be in a position where we can transform spaces in ways that will benefit my daughter’s generation and beyond.”

JLL’s national team is helping governments transform their real estate and office portfolios for the future of work and has experts that cover the entire real estate lifecycle from strategy, public-private partnerships, facilities management and sustainability services to transaction and project management.
