TEL AVIV, Israel -- Phinergy Ltd., a pioneer in aluminum-air energy technology, has partnered with Rosendin, an electrical contractor with $3.7 billion in annual revenue, to deliver a fossil-free alternative for on-premises, mission-critical, and microgrid backup power.

The collaboration is designed to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission backup power solutions across one of the world’s most energy-intensive and rapidly growing sectors.

This brings Phinergy’s breakthrough aluminum-air technology to the North American market, leveraging San Jose-based Rosendin’s strong industry position and trusted relationships with major data center operators.

The Phinergy Aluminum-Air Generator (AAG) introduces a new paradigm in backup power generation. Using aluminum metal as a clean, energy-dense “fuel” in place of polluting fossil fuels, the AAG delivers zero-emission electricity. Designed for megawatt-scale applications, it offers a reliable, high-performance alternative to conventional diesel generators.

With Rosendin’s proven experience in scaling new technologies, the companies will jointly introduce Phinergy’s AAG solution in the U.S. market—setting a new standard in backup power by enabling:
•     Multi-day resilience for mission-critical operations;
•     Zero-emission, on-demand power aligned with ESG and net-zero goals;
•     Scalable deployment for hyperscale data centers and advanced microgrids.

“This collaboration with Rosendin marks a pivotal step in scaling Phinergy’s aluminum-air technology for the data center industry—one of the most demanding and fastest-growing energy markets,” said Emmanuel Levy, CEO of Phinergy. “Rosendin’s strong market presence and deep expertise in mission-critical infrastructure give us a clear path to scale and connect with the right customers. By joining forces, we’re not just replacing diesel—we’re setting a new benchmark for clean, resilient power in the AI era.”
Rosendin has spent the past six years examining on-prem power systems as alternates or enhancements to Utility-provided power, said Bill Mazzetti, SVP of Rosendin.

“Our clients simply need more power, and without it, development stops dead,” he said.  “This is a reply to the major expansion of data center and large loads, combined with a continuing demand for decarbonized power from owners and jurisdictions.  The Phinergy AAG sits in a unique position to meet this need, and we’re thrilled to be their partner in the development and deployment of this solution.”

Phinergy is a global pioneer in clean energy innovation, developing aluminum-air technology for zero-emission backup power generation. Phinergy introduces a paradigm shift by using aluminum metal as a clean, energy-dense “fuel” in place of polluting fossil fuels—delivering electricity with zero emissions at the point of use.

With a fully automated production facility, over a decade of R&D, and more than 30 patents, Phinergy is uniquely positioned to scale its technology across the data center and energy infrastructure sectors.
Rosendin, headquartered in San Jose, CA, is the largest employee-owned electrical contractor in the United States, employing 10,000 people with $3.7 billion in revenue, and a forecasted revenue greater than $5.5 billion in 2025.
