Siemens Partner with Delta on Data-Centers

ZUG, Switzerland -- Siemens and Delta Electronics Inc. have partnered to deliver prefabricated, modular power solutions for faster, lower-cost, data-center deployment to cut costs and carbon emissions.

The partnership combines the companies' complementary capabilities in the data center market while reducing time-to-market by up to 50 percent with a plug-and-play approach

One of the fastest growing industries in the world, data centers are powering the digitalization of industries and are required to scale at speed. Addressing this challenge, Siemens Smart Infrastructure and Delta have formalized a global partnership to deliver prefabricated, modular power solutions, designed to accelerate the deployment of data center infrastructure, while significantly reducing CAPEX.

As digital demand explodes, data centers have become critical infrastructure powering the backbone of our increasingly connected society. However, time-to-market constraints, rising costs, and sustainability pressures pose key challenges for operators as they rapidly expand capacity. The prefabricated power solutions from Siemens and Delta enable data centers to overcome these pain points, providing a strategic advantage in the competitive data center market.

The core of the agreement centers on the delivery of prefabricated, integrated containerized power solutions (SKIDs, eHouses). By prefabricating and pre-testing these modular power systems off-site with an optimized layout, the solution provides a standardized, plug-and-play approach that reduces time-to-market by up to 50 percent, lowers construction risk, and maximizes valuable data center square footage.

The efficient design can provide up to 20 percent CAPEX reduction and up to 27 percent lower carbon emissions by using less concrete in the space-optimized layout.

Designing the power solutions with Building Information Modeling (BIM) from the start, including third party products, enables real-time data integration into the building management system for improved performance, faster troubleshooting and more efficient operations over the lifecycle. This digital twin approach makes installation and commissioning faster while optimizing the data center's energy footprint.

The detailed virtual model allows for enhanced collaboration, more accurate planning, and proactive issue resolution.
