CHICAGO – JLL, a commercial real estate firm, has hired Marsha McVicker as the Solutions Development Principal of its Healthcare Division, a role in which she will be responsible for developing growth strategies that have a meaningful impact on the industry.
She brings 25 years of experience serving healthcare systems with her to JLL. As the Founder and CEO of LYLA (Love Your Life Assistance), she scaled the company into an award-winning concierge-tech and AI-enabled support platform that made the lives of patients and healthcare employees easier.
“Marsha’s known for her ability to anticipate market shifts early, lead through change and build mission-driven cultures that retain clients, partners and teams,” said Jessica Pernicone, Head of Solutions Development. “Her deep expertise in human needs and behaviors coupled with her proven ability to help businesses engage with their employees to increase satisfaction and retention will be tremendous assets to JLL Healthcare clients.”
JLL’s Healthcare Solutions Development team, which is part of its Work Dynamics business under Real Estate Management Services, helps organizations transform their real estate and facilities management practices to support their strategic objectives.
Based in Chicago, McVicker reports to Pernicone and will work in partnership with Cheryl Carron, COO of Work Dynamics Americas and President of the Healthcare Division.
“The Healthcare Division is focused on fostering the financial strength of its clients while enhancing the patient and employee experience,” said Carron. “Marsha's human-centered and technology design expertise helps healthcare organizations simplify operations and improve performance amid growing complexity.”
McVicker’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for healthcare. According to JLL’s 2026 “Healthcare Real Estate Trends to Watch” research, healthcare organizations face significant challenges, with insurance coverage and funding reductions decreasing margins and driving further consolidation.
Organizations are prioritizing reducing operating costs, optimizing space utilization, and achieving organizational efficiency as they navigate policy uncertainty and potential coverage losses affecting up to 14.2 million people.
“This is an exciting time in healthcare,” McVicker said. “Organizations are reimagining how they engage patients and invest in experiences that demonstrate genuine focus on patient care. I am thrilled to join JLL’s innovative team and contribute to solutions that help healthcare providers transform their real estate into strategic assets that enhance both operational efficiency and patient care.”
She holds a master’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed the Entrepreneurial Master’s Program at MIT. Additionally, she was inducted into the UIC Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame.
McVicker was an advisor to FEJ, a Haitian foundation that builds sustainable communities through micro-economic development, assistance for women business owners and family resources. She worked closely with the U.S. Green Building Council to build the William Jefferson Clinton Children’s Center in Port-au-Prince, which is focused on providing education, nutrition, healthcare and community support.
JLL delivers comprehensive real estate and facilities solutions for over 1,400 leading healthcare systems worldwide. It helps them navigate complex regulatory environments while enhancing the patient and care team experience.
