ROSEMONT, IL -- ISSA has named the recipients of its Advocates of the Year Awards, presented at the association’s inaugural 2026 International Cleaning Week Awards Dinner in Washington D.C. on March 23. The yearly award winners are selected by ISSA with input from its Government Affairs Advisory Committee. The recipients of this year’s award are Natasha Magrath, president and CEO of You’ve Got Maids of Northern Virginia, representing end users, and Tom Friedl of HOSPECO Brands Group, representing the supply chain. “Tom has been a passionate and effective advocate for the industry since becoming the first Chairman of ISSA’s Government Affairs Committee in 2020. His passionate advocacy for our End Period Poverty Campaign and advocacy on behalf of the industry is unmatched,” said John Nothdurft, ISSA’s Vice President of Government and Public Affairs. “Natasha was selected because she is such an engaged and helpful supporter of ISSA’s legislative and regulatory affairs efforts. She has been an extremely impactful and engaged advocate for the industry for several years. She never hesitates to ask what more she can do to help advance the industry. She is an inspirational leader who personifies this award,” said Nothdurft. McGrath said, “I am truly honored to receive the 2026 ISSA Advocate Award. Advocacy is never a one-person effort, it is the result of many states’ voices, shared passion, and a commitment to creating meaningful change. We still have a lot of work to do, we will keep speaking up and pushing for the progress for our industry,” said Natasha Macgrath. Kim Althoff, ISSA’s Executive Director, said, “We thank Tom and Natasha for their steadfast advocacy on behalf of the cleaning and facility solutions industry and congratulate them on being ISSA’s 2026 Advocates of the Year.” Previous Advocate of the Year Winners 2024 2023 2022 2021 ISSA is the association for cleaning and facility solutions, dedicated to elevating the built environment worldwide.
