CSDA and NDA to Co-Locate Expo and Conference

SPRINGFIELD, IL -- The Concrete Sawing and Drilling Association (CSDA) has formalized a joint collaboration with the National Demolition Association (NDA to co-locate their annual meetings in Fort Worth, Texas, in 2027.

This strategic exploration is driven by a shared history of partnership, similar membership bases of suppliers and contractors, and common objectives in workforce training.

CSDA’s 2027 Conference will be held Feb. 15–17, 2027, followed by NDA’s Annual Convention & Expo from Feb. 17–20, 2027.

The organizations will host several joint sessions, and CSDA members will have the opportunity to visit the NDA Expo Hall, attend the Live DEMOlition Event, and participate in Hands-on Equipment Maintenance Training.

Each association will charge their own registration fee for their respective meetings. There will not be a joint registration fee to cover both meetings.

The Associations believe that deeper collaboration presents a valuable opportunity to improve the industry, create operational efficiencies, and enhance member value. By working together, CSDA and NDA aim to act as a unified voice to increase impact on policymakers while leveraging complementary organizational strengths to achieve greater economies of scale.

To lead this initiative, both Associations have appointed their respective Executive Committees to serve on a Collaboration Task Force. This group will evaluate financial considerations, programmatic overlap, and the cross-promotion of education and events.

"This exploratory effort has the potential to be mutually beneficial, strengthening both the concrete sawing, drilling, and demolition industries as a whole," said Mark DeSchepper, President of the CSDA. "We are building upon the spirit of our 2014 agreement to find new ways to consolidate overlapping functions and deliver more to our members.”

Ben Hayden, President of NDA, said, “By acting as a unified voice, we can better serve our stakeholders. Our goal is to investigate how resource combination and the creation of efficiencies can help both Associations thrive in an evolving market.”

Under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, the Associations have agreed to promote reciprocal event participation and cross promotion of education programming. The Associations will conduct an audit of their training programs to identify opportunities for cross-promotion via webinars, podcasts, and print media.

The Concrete Sawing and Drilling Association is an organization of contractors and manufacturers in concrete sawing, drilling, and GPR industry. It provides highly focused and rigorous training, certification, and safety standards that enable members to deliver superior results, minimize downtime, and reduce environmental impacts. The 54-year-old organization provides the tools and resources to enable its members to more effectively manage their businesses..

The National Demolition Association (NDA) is a nonprofit trade organization representing approximately 500 U.S. and Canadian companies and many international firms that are involved in the demolition process.
