ROSEMONT, IL -- ISSA, The Association for Cleaning & Facility Solutions, has announced the featured speakers for the 2026 ISSA Altus Summit, a premier leadership experience designed exclusively for Building Service Contractor (BSC) executives.
Scheduled for June 8-10 at ISSA Headquarters in Rosemont, Ill., the Altus Summit is the flagship, in-person gathering for ISSA’s community of BSC leaders.
ISSA has curated the Altus Summit as a mastermind for BSC executive decision-makers, CEOs, presidents, owners, and senior revenue and operations leaders, to provide a focused, high-trust environment to refocus, realign, and return with a stronger path forward.
The event features ISSA’s six Altus Principals, the BSC leaders who represent specific disciplines that drive successful cleaning companies:
- Chase Carlson, president and CEO, Pioneer, focusing on operations
- Mike Fitts, chief commercial officer, 4M Building Solutions, focusing on strategy
- Jill Frey, president and CEO, Cummins Facility Services, focusing on technology
- Channing Johnson, president, KB Building Services, focusing on human resources
- Steve Mastin, chief financial officer, 4M Building Solutions, focusing on finance
- Ricky Regalado, CEO and founder, Route/Rozalado Services, sales and marketing.
“The Altus Summit reflects what the BSC community has been asking for: a forum where leaders learn from leaders, where strategy meets execution, and where conversations are honest, relevant, and operator-driven,” said Karina Neff, ISSA Chief Engagement Officer for BSCs. “Our Altus Principals don’t just speak to the issues facing today’s BSCs—they live them. That’s what makes this experience unlike anything else in the industry. It’s built by BSCs, for BSCs.”
In addition to the Altus Principals, the Altus Summit agenda features industry thought leaders like Laurie Sewell, president of Servicon and president of the ISSA Board of Directors; Mark Herbick, founder and CEO of Pursant; Doug Flaig, CEO of Stratus Clean; Otis Scott, vice president of human resources at Prestige Maintenance USA; and Jill Davie, senior vice president and general manager at WorkWave.
“The Summit is not a conference attendees sit through, but a leadership community they step into. Every session, peer exchange, and conversation is designed to deliver real insights, sharpen strategy, and produce decisions BSC executives can act on the moment they return home,” Neff said. “We are thrilled to host such a powerful program—and equally excited to welcome a remarkable lineup of speakers and thought leaders whose expertise will add tremendous value for every executive in the room.”
Meet the 2026 Altus Principals
Altus Principals bring proven expertise in the key areas that drive successful cleaning companies. ISSA selected each for their depth of operational experience, their willingness to share what works (and what doesn’t), and their commitment to elevating the entire industry.
Mike Fitts — Strategy: Chief Commercial Officer, 4M Building Solutions
As Chief Commercial Officer at 4M Building Solutions, Fitts brings a strategist’s lens to growth, market positioning, and enterprise alignment. At Altus 2026, he will deliver the State of the Industry address and lead the closing Commitment Ceremony—bookending the Summit with the strategic context BSCs need to make decisions in a shifting commercial real estate and labor environment.
Steve Mastin — Finance: Chief Financial Officer, 4M Building Solutions
Mastin is a CFO who has lived the margin pressures every BSC operator knows by heart. His Finance Masterclass—“The Margin Reality & How to Fix It”—cuts through generic financial advice to address the specific levers that protect profitability in a labor-intensive service business. Expect frank conversation about pricing discipline, cost structure, and the financial habits that separate scaling BSCs from stalled ones.
Chase Carlson — Operations: President & CEO, Pioneer
Carlson leads Pioneer with a focus on disciplined execution and innovation at the field level. His session, “Next-Gen Operations: Strategic Innovation & Execution Excellence,” explores how modern BSCs can build operating models that scale without sacrificing service quality—a topic every operator wrestles with as portfolios grow and customer expectations rise.
Jill Frey — Technology: President & CEO, Cummins Facility Services
Frey has built Cummins Facility Services into a benchmark for technology-enabled cleaning operations. Her session, “Technology as a Moat: Smart Buildings, IoT, AI & the BSC Advantage,” reframes technology not as a cost center but as a competitive differentiator—a moat that protects margins, deepens client relationships, and positions BSCs to win in the smart-building era.
Channing Johnson — Human Resources: President, KB Building Services
Johnson leads KB Building Services with a people-first philosophy that recognizes workforce strategy as the defining challenge of the next decade. She will co-lead the panel “Workforce of the Future: Recruiting, Retaining & Leading in 2026,” bringing practical perspective on how BSCs can build cultures that attract and keep the talent the industry depends on.
Ricky Regalado — Sales & Marketing: CEO & Founder, Route / Rozalado Services
A founder who has built and scaled BSC operations from the ground up, Regalado brings hard-won perspective on revenue generation, brand, and client experience. At Altus 2026, he will moderate “Property Management Duel: Battle for the Numbers Bottom Line,” drawing out how leading commercial property decision-makers evaluate BSC partners—the kind of insight that reshapes a sales playbook.
The ISSA Altus Collective: A Year-Round BSC Community
The Altus Summit is the marquee in-person experience of the ISSA Altus Collective, a year-round community purpose-built for BSC executives. Beyond the Summit, the Collective offers ongoing peer connection, strategic resources, and a private community forum where BSC leaders exchange real-time insights on the challenges shaping their businesses.
Together, the Summit and the Collective give BSCs a single, dedicated home within ISSA—one designed to keep the conversation going long after the summit in Rosemont.
