Behind the Scenes, RCP Recognizes’ Custodian Day

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- Ahead of National Custodian Day, RCP will host 11 appreciation events nationwide, recognizing more than1,250 custodial and facility maintenance professionals whose work helps keep communities running every day.

Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) is celebrating the fifth year of the Behind the Scenes of Clean initiative ahead of National Custodian Day on October 2, recognizing the professionals who help keep facilities operating every day.

Through the initiative, RCP is elevating the often-unseen work of custodial teams and reaffirming its commitment to equipping them with solutions designed to support their day-to-day work.

Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP), part of the Newell Brands portfolio, today announced the return of the Behind the Scenes of Clean initiative, a nationwide appreciation program honoring custodians, cleaning professionals and facility teams ahead of National Custodian Day on October 2.

The recognition is part of RCP’s fifth year of the ‘Behind the Scenes of Clean’ initiative, and will be held ahead of National Custodian Day on October 2, recognizing the professionals who help keep facilities operating every day.

Launched in 2022, ‘Behind the Scenes of Clean’ has become an annual tradition that celebrates the custodial and facility professionals whose work is essential to keeping communities running.
Since its inception, the initiative has hosted more than 250 recognition events nationwide and honored around 25,000 custodial and facility maintenance professionals, celebrating the often-unseen workforce behind clean, safe, and welcoming environments.

As the centerpiece of this year’s initiative, RCP will host 11 appreciation events across the country, recognizing around 1,250 custodial and facility professionals face-to-face. At each event, custodial and facility teams will be recognized through appreciation gatherings celebrating the often-unseen work that keeps facilities running every day. Events will take place in communities across the United States, including Mooresville, Atlanta, Orlando, Chicago, and Naples, where local teams will be recognized for their service and contributions.
